Anu did Bungy! Made us all feel a little more cool and brave. Since we were already in a wild mood we went out on a safari in the Mosi-O-Tunya National Park.

CHINESE FOOD AND A CATWALK
Almost felt like arriving in a private jet when we drove into the hangar that acted as the parking for the restaurant. Parked the family car and went in to get some dumplings - best ones in town. After dinner coffee at Portico, where we caught the remains of a fashion show/magazine launch. Things are happening at the fashion scene in Lusaka!

WHAT TO WEAR FOR NEW YEARS EVE AT THE GREEK CLUB?
I had some last minute planning with Eva who was just about to pack her bag.
"What clothes should I bring?" she asked
I described the weather and also said that she should bring some party-clothes and a pair of heels for new year.
After a while a I realised that I had no idea what to wear myself. What to do. I asked Mattias to drop me off at Manda Hill (a mall close by) to see what I could do about it. There are a lot of hot girls around here and they can find clothes. If I keep an open mind I'm sure I can find something to wear. I did all the shops at Manda Hill, and my mind was VERY open. It didn't help.
Eventually I realised that I had to make do with the old trick: accessories! My new plan didn't work very well, I did a new round in all the shops. Eventually I ended up at Mr Price for the second or 3rd time and found a big black clip-on-flower. Took an extra round in the shop, just to make sure I didn't miss that perfect thing to wear, got accused of trying to steal the rose since I walked around with it. Whent home, avoided the drunk taxidrivers hanging around, and put the flower on a black dress I had brought from Sweden. Ta-da! All set to go partying and dying to try that happy blue juice.

MY PRECIOUS
I felt a need for a Zambian ring, so that I never forget. The stone is from Russia and the guy who did it is from South Africa though. And I've heard that "Jagoda - gem centre" has something to do with strawberries. I've never been very interested in diamonds before, it must be my new occupation that does it. Well, I have to go and paint my toe nails now, ciao!

HOME SWEET HOME
Arrived in Lusaka with passports and a lot of odd stamped papers. After some confusion, the immigration officer gave me a broad smile and said "Welcome back home madam". Does that mean I'm Zambian now? Sitting at home on my verandah that doesn't feel too bad!

AN INPREDICTABLE NIGHT
A little late and hungry we left home in Tia's car to go to the Indian restaurant Taurus. We didn't get far though, got stuck with the car between the gates. Took us a while to get the car out, and to tell the truth: the car did not look good. Didn't find the restaurant so decided to go to another indian restaurant, there are a lots of them in Lusaka. So finally we sat down and had dinner in some kind of combination between an indian restaurant and som kind of sport centre paid for by Khaddafi back in the days...
